Useful, because philosophy requires us to sharpen our sense of analysis and therefore thinking more finely, more accurate. Philosophy teaches us to approach a problem in a rigorous manner, noting the possible implications underlying the problem and considering it from every possible angle.

An example: to properly handle the issue of the necessity of vegetarianism in humans, we must first realize that it encompasses several distinct problems . It must first question the existence of suffering in animals. All animals suffer? Even insects ?
