The Santal tribes of Bangladesh worship many gods and goddesses. There are some of these gods, They are called demons. Similarly, the Santals worshiped a kind of aversion, called 'Gadrobonga'! The reflection of this god is called a special doll. Puppets are not more than 2-3 feet in size. Their looks are like little kids. Many Santal families of Uoora are celebrated. The reason for bringing up, keeping, and worshiping them is that these gods are celebrated in families which make them very rich. These gods steal gold from other excess houses and give it to the owner of their adopted house.
But what they claim in return is very dangerous. Instead of giving gold, these disgusts are celebrated at home, The owner of the house wants small children. They kill these little boys (the story goes eat because those little kids are no longer available)! .And if the owner of the house can not meet their needs, then Gadaranganga destroys the family. Even after knowing these, many families of Santal are still following these craves in the greed of being rich.
Though the Santals have believed in this concept for a long time, What's the point of this incident? What is the complete coincidence? Nobody knows this answer.
Yes these Bangladeshi tribesmen worshiping so many gods and goddesses as they knows these are their ancients.
