Simple Truth #11: Take a Break and Make a Difference

When I look back, as an ex-employer I used to dread Fridays. It means my staff are already in the weekend mood and to my frustration hardly anything gets done. In addition, they are out of the office by 5.30pm sharp leaving me alone in the office.

Worse if Fridays or Mondays are public holidays, I would expect a stack of Application for Leave forms on my desk to take Thursday AND Tuesday off too.

OK, truth be told, I was or maybe am still a workoholic or can't keep still -- must be doing something or reading/learning something new till I drop off to sleep that is at dawn, weekends and public hols included.

Since I got involved in Steemit, I force myself to take a break to share something on my Steemit blog at least once a day or at the very least comment on someone's post or resteem an article to share with my followers.

It is a "discipline" I was told to develop by dear #TeamMalaysia big brothers @maverickfoo and @bitrocker2020 to be "successful" on Steemit.

Heck, I dislike discipline since kindergarden and would rather go with the flow what my heart wants to do for the day.. from time I choose to wake up till the time I choose hit the sack. Hence a constipation to my parents and teachers alike.. till my headmistresses and teachers remember me by name till today.

Today, it is a different story. This "discipline" turned out to be an ENJOYABLE daily break to share something on Steemit. It is also a much needed break from the mundane work to recharge for the rest of the day.

It gives me great pleasure and total satisfaction to know that my post may have made you smile or laugh, be a reminder, a morsel food for thought or an inspiration to cheer you on.

Hence here in Steemit, it's always Friday everyday.

Steem on!

@patlu, you are a pleasure, "the friday" on and off steemit 😊

Thank you for your compliment @kaerpediem! :D

@patlu wow A a turn of your habit from dislike to like and from work pile to enjoy sharing...
Maybe you are right, it reflected on me too from a dull person to a photographer going round my neighbourhood and stop infront of neaghbour house and start shoting plants
What a change

Ya Steemit makes one look at the world from a different perspective and do crazy things but good things! LOL!

Discipline is having to colour with crayons when you want to do it so much with colour pencil but merely coz teacher says so.

Such a pain in the butt aren't they? ;) LOL!

Kindergarten kids are subject to being bullied by the teachers...avoid kindy if possible.
