It is disturbing that your social media life can disappear without recourse.
Deplatforming....Have you heard of that before?
Neither had I until today, but apparently its a thing, and it just happened to to Alex Jones, the public face of Infowars (a very popular alternative news internet site).
Quoting David Goniham at The 5 an investment and political editorial newsletter I subscribe to, "As you’ve surely heard by now, Jones was “deplatformed” Monday by Facebook, YouTube, Apple and Spotify on the grounds of “hate speech.” (All at once? How can that possibly be a coincidence?)"
Indeed...how could that be a coincidence, especially when such prominent politicians like Senator Chris Murphy (Dem., of course) saying that the future of democracy depends on companies like YouTube and Facebook doing MORE than just taking down the website of Infowars.
Hmmmmm, can anyone see a problem for free speech if the tech giants decide to become politically correct speech police???
Yup, exactly why Steemit, Dtube, and a host of other decentralized platforms that cannot be centrally censored not only exist, but are growing exponentially: People are waking up to the danger of having a handful of gateway information providers decide what we can know, or more to the point, NOT KNOW.
Thought for the day: The way to change the world is to produce a better alternative to the existing defective paradigm. We, my fellow Steemians, are the better alternative! So I am rededicating myself to consistent content creation on this platform and I invite you all to do likewise. The world needs more of what we have to offer:-)

Not sure @superheroes, the only way I consistently get Steem is by writing, writing, and writing some more. There is no rhyme or reason to the payouts I have received. Wish I had a better answer! Thanks for reading and replying:-)
