Hey @charles1, excellent post! I am hearing about how some people are using Google ads and other platforms to advertise themselves and gain more readership as well as expose the Steemit community to new participants. Do you have any thoughts on that and if it might be an effective use of limited resources? I would rather spend my money (what little I have for advertising) getting more people to follow my work that are outside the Steemit community and having them join the community and give all of us a boost.

Youtube and facebook will do it better for you and free.... you can share your work in many facebook groups and advise people on how to join and make money (including your ID for them to follow you. ) dont spend your money on paid google ads
Thank you @charles1:-) I appreciate the pointers, I know some of the backside like SEO, but realize its a whole different world to engage effectively on social media and I want to put my efforts where I can leverage them best. I learned a lot from your post, thank you.
