DIY Ice cream :)

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Good evening, my dear Steemians or just hello over there, wherever you come from!
Do you know these hot summer days? And I know just the right against it:

                              ICE CREAM!

I mean, honestly, who can resist ICE CREAM??? :DD
You want ice cream, but you're too lazy to get some from the store? Don't worry, because you can easily do it at home! The variations are endless. Here comes a report for you including an actual healthy recipe for the best dessert ever!

To prepare your ice cream, take the fruits of your choice, make cubes or slices out of it and freeze it.
Tip: We are used to make bigger amounts of frozen fruits in the summer at once, so that it lasts for multiple servings. When you're doing it, make sure not to freeze just one fruit, it makes the work a lot easier in the end ;)

(from left to right: frozen strawberries, mango, raspberries and banana)

Step 1:
Choose your ingredients:

  • about 300 g of fruits of your choice
  • 200 g yoghurt or curd cheese (choose however you want, changing its consistency; I prefer Greek or Turkish curd cheese; for me it has the best taste)
If you like to sweeten your ice cream, you can add a little sugar. I always use only little adds and a "healthy" sugar like almond mush or agave syrup. For this recipe, I use about 2 to 3 tsp.

Step 2: (no picture)
Weight your fruit and your dairy ingredient (plus the sugar, if desired) and put them into a food processor or mixer with a high engine speed. Then switch it on until the ingredients evolve into a creamy, soft mush. It most likely looks like ice sorbet now and partly fused. If you cannot wait, skip Step 3 and go on to Step 4 and just eat your ice cream!

Step 3:
After mixing fill the mush into freezable bowls. I have special ones for ice cream, but you can just use an old box of ice cream or some Tupperware! I made one for each fruit and the fifth bowl is a mixed version. You cann add whole berries to give it an extra shot of fruitiness :)

Step 4:
Enjoy your ice cream whenever you feel like it! ♥
And when there's nothing left, remember your frozen leftover fruits ;)

To end this post, I've got something funny for you. If you don't have a clue what I'm talking about, check the link before ;) Enjoy!

Vanilla - Ice Ice baby aka the stages of wanting:

  1. When someone suggest Ice-cream: You've been sleepy and get awake in an instant, throwing a fist into the air and screaming for your delightful dessert.
  2. When you see it: Your eyes grow bigger and almost pop out of your head. You open and close your hands and can't wait to get that creamy cold sweetness into your range.
  3. Getting way too excited for that first bite: It's gonna be cold, but also so tasty! You need to try it nooow :3 but take care, that you're not overacting there!
  4. It is so good you could bathe in it: Take care, little one, it might be cold, but it's just too good :D and who actually cares about it?
  5. But then...BRAIN FREEZE!!! The moment you realize that you have eaten that soft cream too fast, but it's too late and it makes your head feel frozen! But somehow, that's the best part about ice cream, isn't it?
  6. And when someone asks for a bite: you smile, you laugh a little maybe, then you're getting serious and deny the questioner :'D (maybe if he doesn't show further interest into your ice cream, you might be back into laughing^^)
  7. And when you've had enough: you're so tired, you're so full, but you won't stop trying to get done with your frozen cream! :)
  8. But nothing can ruin ice cream! Everybody loves it.

(Inspiration for this is a very awesome video of little kids eating ice cream, it made me laugh every time! Check it out :D

I Love ice cream more than anything in the whole wide world

Same! And this version is quite healthy (depending on the amount of sugar), so I don't mind to eat it every day, haha :D
Give it a try, its totally worth it! Done in a short time :)

Seems nice and healthy. As a suggestion you might want to do food or something for your main tag next time. Steemit is more meant for stuff relating to the steemit web site.

Thank you. I will do that, thanks for the tip :)
I've just edited the hashtag order.
