Total Carbon Emission per year by World is more than 35 Billion Tons per Year.
Total Land In World is 1.5 Billion Hectare. Which means 3.75 Billion Acres of Land.
1 Kg Humus has 60% Carbon, Which is Organic Carbon. This Organic Carbon represents 1.8 kg of CO2 being Permanently removed from Atmosphere. So If We convert all agriculture land in to natural Farming then and if we are able to increase Humus percentage in Soil the organic Carbon will increase in soil which in turn removes CO2 from Atmosphere. So If every Year 3 Tons of Organic carbon increases in soil then World will produce net Zero CO2 Emissions Every Year.
For this to happen NO Till Farming and Natural Farming Principles must be followed in Every Acre of Land in World.
How is Humus Formed?
Its a Dark Organic Matter which forms after decomposition of Dead Leaves, Plants, Branches etc. This only forms in No Till Farming. When Tilling is done all the organic carbon gets released back to atmosphere. Hence Every acre in this world must be tuned into Natural Farm and NO till Farms.
Humus Can Save us from Drought.
1 KG Humus can hold 6 Liters of Water.
Humus is Store of Macro and Micro Nutrients. When there is Humus in soil then Crop needs very less water for growth. Water Requirement in farms can drop by 50% initially and then by 90% after 10 Years of practicing Natural Farming as per the trials done in India by Mr. Subhash Palekarji. Also when NO Till farming is Practiced then earthworms do their work in soil and make soil porous. When Soil is porous all the rain water goes down in Land and water table is recharged. Whereas in Modern Farming soil becomes very hard making hard for water to percolate hence water table is depleting and water usage has increases in Modern Farming. So Humus can save us from Drought because Soil becomes porous and water table increases hence we can avoid drought like situations.
Humus Helps Build Immunity in Plants. More Immunity in plants means it can fight pests attack and insect attack. Also when more biodiversity of plants are created in soil then pests and insects are automatically controlled. In soil with humus the immunity of plants is greater. Greater immunity in plants means great quality food. This food provides us greater immunity which helps us fight with various viral attacks and diseases. Greater immunity in body means capacity to fight with diseases increases tremendously.
In this Way Soils with more Humus sequester more CO2 hence Fights with Global Warming. Natural farming makes soil porous and helps in forming Humus Hence more porosity means all rain water is percolated in land itself hence water table increases which in turn avoids drought situation. Humus improves immunity in crops Food is more immune in turn making Humans immune who eats such food.
