Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 4/4/2019 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and changes for just over 2 years now.
I also want to mention just incase your wondering when perhaps something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do occasionally change it's format from time to time.
But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as it's important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 4/4/2019
Should you be trading with Steem today...?
Want to say thank you, and to everybody else who gave their support on getting us to dolphin we achieved this after 30 months. I'm sure once the price goes up higher it will be more beneficial to us all. Now then on March 10th we have seen Steem reach it's highest for the year at $0.55 along with SBD's which also had a breaker on March 13th with it's highest being $1.41. With Bitcoins it's managed to stay above $4000 and as stayed near to $4100. Infact bitcoin's as now been going upwards for over a week. Around 2 days ago we had a crazy upwave, taking Bitcoins from $4127 to $4885!... and if you think that was good well it didn't stop with Bitcoins reaching $5000 yesterday. The highest for Bitcoins which was achieved also yesterday was 5317! But today we had a downwave taking it down to $4872. With Steem as you know we beat the January high now marking our highest at $0.55 which we got close to again yesterday. We was holding nicely above $0.45 but we fell just under, our ranking position is around #47 amongst all the other cryptos. With Bitcoins downwave it still comes as a surprise to many that we are close to $0.45 again, we started today at $0.47 and not over the $0.50 mark as most expected, by ⏰00.25 we actually fell to $0.45. We bounced between $0.45 and $0.46 until around ⏰07.25 where Steem managed to hold $0.46. From there we saw $0.47 a few times and managed to hit $0.48 once at ⏰17.20. Anyway if it's true that not too much will happen in 2019 then I hope those who are still in the game will take the opportunity to keep collecting Steem. I also want to make it clear that I was apparently wrong in pulling the trigger too fast that we was out of survival mode, it seems according to Steem INC they still found themselves to be in survival mode but now we are officially crawling out. But longer in survival mode the conclusion from all this is to continue cutting of the costs of nodes. Hivemind is now live the "steemd" instance size's went from 488GB RAM to now shockingly 61GB RAM! Focus is on a multi index RocksDB adapter which is a new technology in development to allow the Steem blockchain nodes to store almost all of it's necessary data to a disk in a modern database instead of RAM, this move will make nodes cheaper. Ned also said that the cost reduction progress will still remain above the creation of SMT's which I feel is the right move. Did you know that after the wallet split from steemit.com is complete that both logged in and non-logged in users will see the adds on Steemit.com, I would rather not but understand this is part of keeping us out of survival mode if that was to happen again. It's also come to my attention people are still learning about the wallet split and feel this will continue to be a problem for a while so please have your keys backed-up, yes ALL of them and dont use your masterkey to log into Steemit.com, also when you click on your wallet yes you will be directed to a completely different website which should be "steemitwallet.com" please dont worry as this website is safe and part of Steemit.com. After your initial log-in you wont need to use your masterkey and so if you still don't understand how your private keys work or are relatively new to Steemit you can go to the Steemitblog account for a more recent official explanation. For SBD's they broke record March 13th reaching $1.41. Currently SBD's are at a "normal" pegged rate, shame after yesterday seeing $1.09 SBD's at ⏰04.55 but I guess we did start today at $1.04 falling quickly to $1.02 by ⏰0020. But atleast $1.02 was the lowest for today and quiet the average. We had a bump at ⏰00.40 till ⏰01.00 to $1.04 giving hope of a recovery but it was soon back down to $1.02 from where it started going slowly upwards to $1.05 at ⏰09.35. It stayed until ⏰17.20 and also between ⏰15.05 and ⏰16.15 SBD's were holding at $1.06.

Good evening @jkenny Steem at ⏰00.25 actually fell to $0.45 on the day it bounced between $0.45 and $0.46 until around ⏰07.25 which is where Steem managed to hold $0.46 later it managed to hit $0.48 once at ⏰17.20.
There a downvote button it weird it being there.
Steem is not living up to it's name ...
Haha seems it did, surprising for many with bitcoins movement lately.
At least we have one thing that we can count on...dolphin power!
Definitely we are backed-up by 5000-SP and no powerdowns @whatisnew the upvotes continue to go out, the thing is with higher Steem value it would mean more powerful votes, but still the price make's it good to continue its growth while we wait, right now the longer it takes the better.

Haha some movement out of the $0.45 range into possibly and past the $0.50s if bitcoin is anything to go by.
Be careful the dumping, Bitcoin is going to dumping in a few hours.
