Opening SteemGyft.com – Amazon + Gyft Cards

in #steemit7 years ago

Hello Steemians. I’m coming on board to help market this new project. The idea is to figure ways for us to make use of your Steem Backed Dollars ( and STEEM soon) so I’m introducing SteemGyft. You can now order $15, $25, $35, $45 (higher amounts coming but during beta these are the amounts) from Amazon and Gyft (to be added shortly) so you can spend in the real-world.

In the future we hope to add some gamification/groupon’ish type features such as a certain amount reached on a Steemit post we can add extra even more to the card itself. Might just be a small amount to start with we’ll see.

All this will be started also under the SteemGyft account.

This, this is awesome! Thank you so much for this, I can't wait to see where it goes, what path it paves, and how many other people come up with great ways to use Steem Dollars/STEEM in the real world!

Thanks buddy! It's a start for sure. Trying to create a bridge into the real-world for sure!

I want to see more Bridges!!! This platform gives so many people an awesome way to connect, advise, create, and explore. The more we use it, the more uses we find, and the more we collectively work in producing results the more we will all benefit.

That is one big step for steemians!

Thanks - I like this.

Are the gift cards country specific? I.e. can these vouchers be spent by Amazon accounts outside the US?

Hi @Nanzo-Scoop Thanks!

Yes, if you scroll down to the bottom of this page you'll see where they ship to. Hopefully, this helps.

Set it up with eGifter and I'm in! Gyft cancels accounts that use too much Bitcoin, so I will no longer support Gyft.

Get in touch with Tyler Roye (CEO of egifter).

I had a bad feeling about Gyft they are hard to work with. I'll check out egifter! I'll remember that name. Thanks.

My experience with Gyft may differ from others, but somewhere around $2k seems to be their limit for BTC transactions. Once you get near it, they will want a new payment method. You can setup a new account and continue, from my experience, but it requires another Facebook (or G+ I believe) and about the only card they carry that eGifter doesn't is Walmart cards.

However, one $250 walmart card I bought from Gyft didn't work when the person I gave it to tried it at the store. They refunded 48 hours later, then changed all Walmart cards to $25 max.

With eGifter, no issues. I'm well into the 5 digit area on gift cards with them. Their CEO seems like a cool guy who was nice enough to send (apparently everyone who used BTC in 2016) $25 and some insider points (which are a bonus discount on your next card) the other day.

Great insight. I'll reach out to eGifter and see what we can do. Thanks.
