Soccer? oh, football.. (people look at me strangely when I say soccer here) ;)

Bots are like a workaround.

Not a very good one since they don't really increase exposure or attract quality followers interested in the content.

Well as you know, in Australia we have another "football". I'm a fan of both sports so I don't mind using either term for "soccer"

It's not a great workaround, but for what it doesn't do with visibility, it also returns a profit on the transaction. Granted it might be a short term outlook but for now it has a role to play, especially to people who don't have any significant following or SP

Me either. I use it still, no matter the strange looks.

The return doesn't incentivise actual engagement, commenting, content development etc though, so the accounts will always have to purchase. Just another debt cycle.

It doesn't, but the idea is that someone might see your content that might not have otherwise seen it, and if they like it they might hit follow.. that's why it's important they the content had a bit of effort put in, and that comments are responded to, upvoted, etc.

At least that's how I see it / hope.
