This is such a great idea and very generous of you, I have someone in mind, someone that is very close to me. Do with have to give their name, cos the person I'm thinking of likes to remain anonymous even though he's on here. Is that possible? or too complicated?

Hey! I totally appreciate and understand wanting to remain private. The thing is, I need to keep a certain level of transparency here for the other Steemians entering the contest, though, so I think it's better if the potential recipient can at least be known by a Steemit username. I hope you'll understand.
Thanks for the reply @kafkanarchy84, I do understand, just wanted to ask, but as it turns out the person I wanted to nominate has nominated me. So he wasn't all that worried about remaining anonymous in the end.
