If you read my previous post about the holidays, you know that New Years Eve is probably my favorite ‘holiday’. I love the anticipation of renewal and the celebration of the growth we’ve experienced the past year. I hope you have fun celebrating and get home safe!
Here are a couple Frequently Asked Questions we get on the blogs and in our Discord Channel, and the answers to the best of my ability!
When Will I be Approved? Also, ‘My Account Says Pending, Why?’ and the unfortunate ‘Why does my Account Say Denied?’
A: Our approval process is manual in order to do the best we can at weeding out sockpuppet accounts. One of our team will personally go to your Steemit account, check for your Introduction post, try to determine that you are, in fact, a real person… check how often you post and whether or not you only post garbage or good quality Steemit content. We are looking to benefit the Steemit Platform, not bleed it dry like so many others; therefore we require you to be an active, positive part of the Steemit Community.
This takes time, so please be patient. Especially right now with the holidays, many of us have been on vacation and dealing with The Relatives. (You know how that can go!)
If you have been denied, it’s probably because you: Don’t have a good introduction post - you don’t have to have a pic of your face but something that shows us you are a viable person. Or your rep is below 30, OR you’ve shown yourself to be scammy in some way… either you tried to create a sockpuppet account in the past or have somehow been super uncool in one way or another. If you really, really don’t know why you’ve been denied, pm me in our discord channel, @bethalea and I’ll help as much as I can.
I Lost My Password, How Can I Recover it?
What are the rules around here? I’m talking about Steemit in general, Cryptocurrency in the larger sense… What’s the Number One Rule? DON’T LOSE YOUR PASSWORD, KAREN!! Why is that different at Lucksacks? Well, it’s because we love our community and do have the ability to recover your password, but it’s important that you realize that it’s just a person. You are asking one of our team, who probably has a MINIMUM of fifty million other things to do, to stop what they’re doing, go digging through the massive amounts of information on the lucksacks site, to find YOUR personal account password.
Now look. I’m not the person who does this but it drives me crazy anyway. Don’t lose your password! I learned that lesson the hard way, you can learn it too! I believe in you!

Thanks for this article. I was confused as to why I got denied. Hadn't seen anything about needing to make an intro post. And didn't realize if you suck at posting you could get denied to so we'll see if I suck or not or post enough next time I apply I guess.
Just a random idea, maybe throw out some sorta line about why someone is being denied cuz I was just like "well eff u to then" when I first saw I was denied lol.

Yep - Unfortunately I am not a bot and I have spent real time writing real posts about real things.
You can create a bot to filter out the bots. It's called "a tickle bot." It tests the user for original content and emotion, such as anger. Bots almost never get pissed off.
It's Jan 1. This time last year Bitcoin was at $994, and now it's not.
