Now it is Time to PowerUp
No financial or investment advise, you all know the clause - but with current bear crypto markets I think it could be a good time to buy Steem and / or PowerUp again. Sure you never know what will happen but I am confident the Steem price will not go down a lot. Maybe wishful thinking - I have now powered-up bit over 4,000 SP again after they were sitting in my wallet as liquid Steem.
I was simply "parking" them there for urgent private emergency usage. Seems I do not need them immediately so I strengthened my SP again. Makes more sense as investment as well to support the community by votes.
I also realized I have now over 6,000 followers which is maybe just a number but also means people that sometimes read my content, some even appreciate or like it. Thanks to all of you! Just for the newbies - 95% of the Steem and Steem Power in my Wallet has been generated via Steemit Activity which is kind of cool - I did not invest external coins / fiat so I have nothing to loose (apart from the time, brain and heart I invested here) but even I lose the crypto I have won a lot friends and knowledge paired with wisdom around blockchain and humanity a lot.
Why Powering Up? I trust the ecosystem around Steem - I trust the PEOPLE
I am not a crypto king or tech / dev guy but I have a little bit of instinct what models could work at least having worked in sales, marketing and comms since more than 20 years. I do BELIEVE Steem and its ecosystem are a game changer in the industry - no matter there is EOS or other projects people jump on! Not only financially or because of blockchain! No it is at least 65% because of the community, the people drive this as any other business. If you do not have trust in a company as staff or client this company will fail! Therefore I am confident this one here will become / remain a success story!
Advise for Newbies
Actually I do not have advise as I am no legally accepted financial advisor. To be successful here depends on various factors. The network you build, the relations you establish (here Steemfest really deserves a mention as there you can talk to the big guys, the whales and make an impact), the content you provide. As a little dolphin I can only say what I feel is best for me:
Heart and Brain need to create a Joint-Venture! If you have no Passion for this and are in for the fast money you better leave!
In Steem I trust. We share the same thinking, I just bought 800 plus of SP.

Totally agree about powering up now. In the past couple of weeks I've managed to power up to the dolphin threshold, and then powered up my account by another 10%.
For me personally, I'd much rather not spend tons of money on bots to boost my rep and post payout (and often lose out in the end). Instead, saving my pennies to power up means I can support in a much better way, those who support me and others worth supporting on Steemit.
Wise decision my friend. The bid bots is a tricky topic - I was hardlybusing them in the last months - there are still areas the tech system could be improved but no ideal code in the world.
Ich hab es grad schon bei @greece-lover als Kommentar geschrieben, aber ich bin aktuell auch extrem optimistisch bezüglich Kryptowährungen. Ich möchte nochmals auf diese Vorhersage von mikenz verweisen. Ist doch unglaublich oder? Seit Januar 2017 läuft der Bitcoinkurs fast exakt entsprechend seiner Prognose. Und wenn die weiter so zurifft, dann sollte die nächste Blase bald kommen ;-)

Ich bekenne mich auch voll und ganz zu Steemit, auch wenn ich im Moment nicht so viel poste (außer bei @actifit-peter - Vorsicht Eigenwerbung! :-).
Hab diese Tage 200 Steem gekauft, der Kurs ist sehr günstig um wieder ein wenig zu investieren, damit ist mein upvote auch wieder ein bisschen mehr wert.
Guter Mann! Du bist auch so eine positive Säule der Community. Actifit hängt bei mir bisserl, ich vergesse es einfach ständig vorm Schlafen gehn zu posten und morgend fällt es mir immer ein.

I am powering up for almost 3 months now... everything I get from the community will be for the community. My idea is to only sell if there’s an emergency or otherwise when STEEM is already automatically paying taxes for me in my country. Otherwise this will always be... test and dev for the community and open source world.

One question - how does that work?
It does not work yet... and will not until the government adopts crypto or someone provides a service that the government approves, for crypto users to pay taxes (and in my view if done automatically via the blockchain, then no one would need excuses either to not use crypto or to not pay taxes).

Thanks for commenting, there are so many reasons why this community rocks and we have to support our Steem man.
This is the best time to power up mostly for those that see a future in steemit. I've also realized that some extra SP and steem is added to payout. So this is a very good time to steem hard and power up.

I always strive to power up my steem account whatever i get in the form of steem and steem dollar. This power up not only give your account more curation reward but also give other people more trust over steem. We need trust building to make this community more amazing. A little bit influence only - try to help good users - I only know for sure which programs I do not support :-) - the overall community is great, hope some things come soon and everyone is extremely happy.
Love this post , your writing is very touch because I am thinking about the same. Someone has asked me if steem went down to 0.25$ will I still be here. YES, was my answer without a second to think. As you said it’s not just about earning but it’s about friendship and humanity.

just from the pure curiosity I checked your wallet and must admit that the numbers you earned are really impressive. I am struggling with myself about buying more Steem, but the idea of walking on the same path as you is more tempting.
It requires patience - when I started the first 10 posts got me zero rewards. I had to learn and read a lot too. But there are others much better.
Obviously it requires patience because not every post will reach the community as long as I have a small number of followers. When I'm targeting a niche called "underground culture" it is not a surprise that I reach only very selective audience. Every post, every comment and every upvote is motivating me to continue my mission, and people like you are just like a boosters for me ;)
