The one model of the child is the empty bucket (of white paper). If this is how you view the child like this, then the focus is to fill the bucket with contents or teaching. However, another model is that of the seed. This model assumes that everything that the child will become is already in the child. With this model, your focus will be to put the child in an environment where the child can learn and develop.
