Once there was a very rich man and he decided to start walking from town to town.
He met all the people and was so impressed with everything he saw.
All the people worked hard and really tried their best to live a good life.
This man went so far and walked so long he could not believe how sore his feet were.
He sat wondering what can be done because in those days most people used to walk. Only the very rich had something to ride in. For that reason they did not realise how difficult it was too walk on the bad roads.
This rich man went home and was thinking “oh my, I must do something to help these poor people who walk so much!”
He just could not think of anything.
One day he went to visit a farmer friend of his and said: “ I walked all over our county and the people are all suffering because the roads are bad and their feet get very painful.”
His friend said: “I am sure you will find a way.” His friend slaughtered a cow so that they could have a wonderful dinner. He took the cowhide and threw it on a heap of hides that were rotting away.
Suddenly the rich man got an idea. “Why don’t we start making something with the hides to protect our feet? We can measure their feet and cut out a piece of hide as big as their feet. Then we can tie it to their feet in such a way to protect their feet from getting hurt while walking. You have all these hides here, let us try to do something with it.
He took a hide and washed it until it was super clean. He then measured his own foot and cut out a piece as big as his own foot. He then cut out some more pieces to tie this around his foot. He did the same for the other side and he walked with it. It was hard at the beginning but the more he walked the softer the leather became and ultimately it felt wonderful!
The farmer said “What a brilliant idea, I will get more workers and you can open a shop where you measure their feet and I will provide you with all the hides I can.
This all worked out perfectly for both of them. After a while word got round and many people came to buy the feet covers.
Today that business developed into a worldwide business and today we call these feet covers, shoes.
By using your brain and thinking most things are possible.

I'm afraid the story just doesn't make any sense. Sandals and moccasins were developed all over the world, and I doubt it took some "rich guy" to think of using animal skins. Further, the premise that a farmer was letting skins rot away is absurd.
Wow. What a simple but inspiring story. No one would know where the idea of the shoe came from.
