¿Why has the incentive of traditional games been lost on our children?

Hello friends of Steemit, on this occasion I leave you with a very interesting topic about the traditional games of children that have been lost over the years.

Before it was very common to see children playing comet, trompo, metras, rubber balls, rag dolls, sack races, jumping rope, perinolas, these games were very popular especially at Easter.

That has been disappearing, today, children in their free time spend hours and hours in front of the TV screen or on the computer instead of having fun with traditional games.

On the negative side, I can say that children who spend most of their time watching TV or on their computers lose the opportunity to learn new things, to interact with other children, to share with family members because, for example, if they don't have a comet, adults can help by making them with recyclable materials and this is a unique time that children enjoy and have wonderful experiences. They also become sedentary and, as we know, sedentary lifestyles are enemies to health, and sight becomes tired.

I don't mean that technology is bad, it all depends on the accompaniment that parents give our children to use it in the best way because the world is evolving and technology is increasingly present in our homes, at work and in schools, video games provide children with some experiences that they cannot experience through traditional games.

We must balance things and provide technology to our children responsibly, not forgetting that it is we who have the mission to raise, play, teach and share with our children as parents, not television programs or video game consoles. Children need to socialize and explore the world.

I decided to talk about this topic because it caught my attention when I visited some friends at Easter and I noticed that the children who were there, although they had access to television and computers, were very happy to share and have fun with several of these games. In addition, it is not necessary to spend as much money as can be made with recycled material (e.g. kite).

The comet was made from recycled material: plastic bag, nylon, wooden rods.
