When Luan and Jared got home with Luan’s grandparents, Jared’s father had gone back to work they could not wait to show the baby room they helped fix up to the grandparents.
They were so happy, as they told them how much painting and work they had done to welcome this brother and sister of Luan’s.
When the grandparents saw the baby room they were stunned at how beautiful it was and all the lovely little things and baby clothes everywhere. They had brought outfits to go and fetch them in and showed the boys.
Then Luan’s grandmother said she must go and see what she can make for dinner, as she was in charge as long as Luan’s mother was still in hospital.
She made a lovely dinner as only grandparents can make they thought and, then decided to go outside and wait for Jared’s father while playing with their ball.
Jared’s father came inside to see if everything was ok with the grandparents and they invited him to eat with them.
They could not stop talking about the twins and wondered how long it will be before they get home.
The next morning they went to school and everyone was stunned by the picture of these two beautiful babies.
A few days later Luan’s father brought the babies and Luan’s mother home. They were all so happy and believe me very busy, as there were two to look after.
Forturanatly grandmother had made a lot of food for them to heat up out of the deep freeze. She said they will stay for the first few days to help, as babies can really keep you busy.
Luan and Jared could not wait to pick them up. This is when Luan’s mother said, they are very small and must be held in a certain way so that they have their heads held and they don’t hurt themselves.
She made them sit down and showed them how to do this.
Oh my but they are tiny little things the boys said, how long before they can walk.
My dear these are not like the animals, you so love they crawl first and some start later than a year before they start walking.
I did not know, when little animals are born it does not take them long before they can walk Luan said. Yes my darling but they are human and not animals.
They both laughed and said is there something we have to do or can we go and do our homework. Luan’s mother said, you can do your homework as I still have help here with your grandmother and grandfather.
They had a lot of maths homework to do, but because they knew their multiplication tables so well, they found it easy and laughed because they knew they will never struggle with their maths again.
They told Luan’s mother they were finished and want to go and look at the monkeys if they may.
Of course just don’t be too long and, please take a picture for grandpa as he has not seen them yet.
Oh he can come with he will love it and he will really enjoy the monkeys, we will take bananas then they react very quickly.
Grandpa said that will be nice and I will see where the two of you always go and play.
So off the three of them went and walked to the forest behind the house. Grandfather was very impressed when he saw the forest. This is very beautiful.
The children started throwing the bananas and here came the monkeys all trying to find a banana.
Grandpa laughed oh they are so funny. No wonder you are always here. Just look how many animals are there to see, we must come here for a day and really have a picnic.
That really sounds fantastic. Grandfather you are so clever.
Okay it will be fun, we will see if we can get your grandmother to pack us a nice picnic basket.
They all went home and it was bath time for the babies, the boys laughed as they had never seen how babies were bathed.
Luan’s father took one and his mother the other then they started bathing them.
Oh the boys got the towels ready and grandmother took the clothes out. This is going to be a lot of work for all of us but it is really fun. Funny how fast you can love something very much so quickly Luan said.
I always thought the animals were a lot of fun but we have them here forever, and I really think we will learn a lot from them.
