Men have always found a way to make the female gender an inferior one most especially in African societies. 
Women in most cases as we've seen are said to belong to the kitchen, they are seen as sexual pleasure to the men, a weaker vessel as it is put. Women in most African societies have developed inferiority complex as they have seen themselves from birth as an helper, as an item that can never be better than the male sex. In the typical African societies like that of ours, men can get married to as many wives as they like, divorce as many as they like, if a woman gives birth to only female children she may be driven out of her home, female children are not given education in some homes because it is seen as being useless.
Women are not allowed to speak when men are talking, they are not allowed to participate in some social cultural activities like breaking of kolanut, join in games like wrestling or sporting events like the male children etc. Chritainity and Islamic religion has also played a major impact in demoralizing the female gender. Women in the Bible were not mentioned in tracing lineage in the Bible, how many were made Kings, how many were disciples of jesus. Even in the case of adultery, only the woman was brought for judgement.looking at women and marriage in Islam, men can marry as many women as they can, while women can't,women must put on vale while men are not forced to,women are seen in most cases as child machine. So many cases can be mentioned where women are left out in core positions in religion history.Women have always faced many challenges in our society. Educationally, the male child is preferred to be educated than the female child who are seen to finally end up in the kitchen. Father's hardly give or will there properties to female children because they fear she might end up giving it to her husband. Women are thrown out of their homes as soon as their husbands dies by relatives, female children forced into prostitution because of what the society has made of them. This makes me to ask, are male children really better or superior over the female children?
To me i believe the female child is not equal but superior to the male child. Female Children as we have seen in our societies even with the little chances given have made great mark in the societies they find themselves. In homes not withstanding the challenges faced in some cases where some are driven out with 8 children they survive and give the children great education, educationally they come first when placed in the same class with the male counterpart. politically they are beginning to show to the men that they have things to offer, industrially women are now taking positions and even running night shift, ecomically see them outshining men, socially we can't even argue that, psychologically they can stand challenges etc. Some say that female children tend to loose their father's name when they get married, which we have seen that you can have your father's name and that of your husband together. They also argue that the male child keeps the name of the family forever which we know it's not true because after the death of that male child, the father's name dies too. Looking at it intensively, women gave birth to all the men in history except for Adam, they fight for their societies and economy etc. Truth must be told, men are scared of the women growing in the society. They try all they can to make sure they don't participate in most societal policies.
We've seen that things are changing and we call it a fall in the cultural values of the society because women are are beginning to take core positions in the society. Women are now becoming presidents, senators,ministers,lawyers,engineers,writers, politicians and are outshining the men. Women are realizing that they don't belong to the kitchen,they are not sex tools,sex machines,nannies,full time house wives, prostitute etc. That why there is an increase in divorce,high rate of single mothers,fall in male superiority,increase in feminism,decrease in early marriages etc because women are now realizing that they are far superior than men.
