4 ways to fail. But how to succeed? - Cancun (Day 29, $14)

in #steemproof5 years ago (edited)

How not to fail? Well, to fail is part of the success, but better failing early and get up fast. Today I learned that I'm mostly "productive procrastinate" - planning, planning, and planning instead of more actions.

While I procrastinated, @mermaidvampire enrolled me in Steem Basic Income @steembasicincome, thank you very much @mermaidvampire! I didn't get it managed to read and capture it all in the evening, so I will read it tomorrow once more. Also, thank you dear @cadawg for your support.

Now Grammarly is not working anymore and my English probably will get a lot worse :/ Grammarly correct me normally in 20 mistakes per post. I hope I will now detect the most on my own how mostly I make the same mistakes.

In the morning I needed space on my hard disk so I moved a lot of clutter to an external hard disk. And how I store often the video I wanna watch "later" because "too long", I save them. While moving the clutter to the external disk, I found that video and watched it. I like the interviews from Omar Elattar and I very amazed by an astounding good looking 74 years old, twice homeless, even homeless with his daughter (how terrible imagination). Once I was homeless in Barcelona, Spain after I escaped from jail in Germany, so without documents and lost all my money while hitchhiking. It took me 14 days to get a job and somewhere to live, but this is a story I will tell another time. John Paul de Joria blew my mind. And it's the first billionaire I have seen so far with long hairs :)

After that, I read 10% of Finish what you start, till I got the so strong feeling to continue with the server for WordPress hosting to make at least some money to get started. More below. If you are interested in the mind map of the first pages, here it is. With the link under the map, you can zoom in.

And with the moto of the day, week or month: Finish what... I continued to install the server and search for information on how to do it right. I made it years before, but how everything has an ever faster pace, today it is not anymore best practice to combine apache + suexec + fcgi + PHP, nowadays it's better to go with apache + proxy_fcgi + PHP-fpm, and here it looks like there are none or almost none tutorials or howtos around. So I decided to document all my research and will write a tutorial and put my code on gitlab later. Here the mind map of it.

At the end of the day I was shortly looking over steem it and some affiliate opportunities. Here I saved at the end only the tabs as a bookmark and returned to write.

With that my 1,440 minutes of the day passed by, and I'm sleepy enough to fall half dead into my bed.

My main motivation and from what I will dream tonight:

Tomorrow there are only 60 days more to go, so now I need already $200 per day on the average. Sorry for so many grammatical errors in my text. Have a sweet night and/or an amazing day.

Edit: After I finally posted, Grammarly worked again and found promptly 27 errors, so you will find 27 errors less :) And I forgot to mention my thanks to @cadawg

Focus is a good thing to practice. When your mind do not discriminate and keeps telling you you can do many things at the same time, that's where you get into trouble coz you procrastinate one time and you don't know where to start after the things pile up. Try focus and believe in that one goal and only one way to get there. Best of luck.
