GoldMoney and Mene for Africa (GAMFA): Blueprint, Mission, Vision, and all you need to know.
P.S - GAMFA is a personal initiative of the GAMFA team ( a group of steemians passionate about development, individual financial freedom, and eradication of poverty in Africa through investment in gold), and does not in anyway have any direct connection with the Goldmoney company.
Goldmoney and Mene for Africa GAMFA is a community driven project, which has been brought into existence by a group of passionate Nigerian students who are also steemians ( @gabrielinnocent, @blessing2002, @chuksdozie2004 ) .
Goldmoney and Mene for Africa GAMFA was conceived by the leader of the team @gabrielinnocent after participating in a GoldMoney/Mene contest conducted by @goldmatters. Here is the link to the contest .
We have always been passionate about making the African youth financially independent and free from poverty, thereby enabling them to secure the future of their children. This passion burns within our bones, but we could not find a way to go about this until recently. As @gabrielinnocent was researching on Goldmoney for the contest, he came to discover that investment in gold was a way of gaining financial freedom and moving out of poverty.
BLUEPRINT
Carrying out GoldMoney/Mene awareness programs in universities in Africa, where we educate students on the benefits of investing in gold, and also helping them signup for mene gold accounts, so that they can easily purchase their Mene investment gold jewelry.
Carrying out GoldMoney/Mene Africa meetup monthly (similar to steemit meetup), where we will discuss ways we can innovate ways to facilitate savings for investment in gold and mene gold jewelery.
Opening whatsapp groups for each school we visit, where we can communicate with ourselves, and also spread the word about goldmoney/Mene gold to other African youths.
VISION
Bringing about poverty alieviation and personal financial freedom, through investment in GoldMoney and Mene gold 24 karat gold and platinum.
MISSION
Educating the African youth on the benefits of investing in GoldMoney and Mene gold, through one-on-one awareness outreaches in African tertiary instituitions.
WHY THE BLUEPRINT, VISION, AND MISSION
We have always had a passion to see poverty and financial incapacitation eradicated from the African continent. A lot of young people get money from various means, but end up squandering those funds on liabilities, because they are not aware of credible ways of investing those funds. On the long run, it is this unnecessary spending and lack of investment that leads to poverty.
For example, in Nigeria, we have a population of over 80million youths. More than 50% of these youths receive money from time to time, from various sources like gifts, earnings, and so on. If these youths are taught and encouraged to build a mindset of investment, theirs and the future of their children will be secured, hence building the economy and quality of living of every African family.
In line with the the vision of a steemian @goldmatters whom we see as our role model at GAMFA , which is to democratize the access to gold and make it accessible to regular people, we have decided to give the African youth financial empowerment, by educating them on the numerous benefits of investing in gold, and how through goldmoney/mene gold, they can secure a future for themselves.

Some people might ask within themselves, why should the investment these African youths make be in gold? Why should the company be GoldMoney/Mene? Why should we trust GAMFA?
We will answer these 3 questions one after the other.
WHY INVEST IN GOLD
- Protection against inflation
Africa is the continent with the largest inflation rate in the world. Investing in gold puts the power of fiat back into the hands of people. When young people invest their money in gold, this saves them from spending their money on liabilities, and also protects them from the harshness of inflation.
- Protection during times of crisis
Africa is a continent that has faced a lot of crisis, ranging from land disputes to inter-tribal conflicts. In some of these situations, not even cryptocurrency can help you. There are situations where crypto becomes inaccessible and useless to you. For example, during a tsunami, which could cause absence of electricity and internet service, crypto currencies would not be available to serve as money.
But gold on the other hand is always available, especially wearable jewelry gold like Mene. This shows us the tremendous benefit of gold in times of crisis, especially here in Africa.

HOW WILL THE COST FOR THESE AWARENESS TRIPS BE HANDLED?
We three steemians (@gabrielinnocent, @blessing2002, @chuksdozie2004) came together and decided we would contribute the first money we would need to fund the travelling.

For subsequent funding, we agreed that funds from the upvotes from our posts will be used to take care of transportation, lodging and other costs for the awareness programs we will be having.
Also, we decided that to reduce cost, it would not be wise for we all to travel for these awareness campaigns, so we decided that the leader of the group @gabrielinnocent does the travelling, while @blessing2002 and @chuksdozie2004 handle the followup of those who have been reached by the outreach.
We are open to donations from every steemian who believes in the future of the African youth, and who wants to be a part of bringing change to this region.
As we prepare for our first GoldMoney/Mene gold one-on-one outreach, we have our goldmoney/mene gold shirts printed already.
Also, we came up with an idea, which we see as simple but would serve our purpose of spreading the word about goldmoney and mene gold. We called it Golmoney album.
Goldmoney album is a hardcover album that contains largely printed powerpoint slides which do effectively serve as a guide when explaining the goldmoney/mene gold concept. The reason why we printed the album was as a way of saving the money that would have been spent on a projector. Also, since our method of awareness is one-on-one, we would need a portable guide, and this album does just that.

This is where we are for now, and we believe the GAMFA team will continue to grow as we get more people involved. We believe that our beginning may be small, but our later end will surely increase greatly.

Now that your vision and mission are clearly stated, GAMFA already have my support. In a way, I have organised a couple of cryptocurrency meetups, seminar and training in my University in the past. So organising awareness about Menē and Goldmoney wouldn't a problem.
I believe in future of gold investment in Africa, in fact, i bought my first gold in my teenage years. Now that we have GAMFA who is committed to taking awareness to youths in University, things will only get better by catching them young.
