I have been slowly building a currency collection iver the past couple years. Like anything else, as the collection develops. It's gets harder to introduce better quality material.
The high denomination notes are beautiful. Due to he high face value and collectible demand. It makes it expensive! The 500 and 1000 dollar notes have been on my want list for a while. Last week a good friend and dealer got a $500 note in at his store. Due to the less than choice condition. He was able to aquire it at a justifiable price. Which he then passed along to me!
This is a 1928 $500 dollar note. The 1928 year is unique because it could have been traded in for gold during that time. Which it states on the least side of the note. No holes or rips make this a perfect fit for my young collection. Very excited to add this!

$500 back in 28 would buy a lot of gold and silver indeed. The USD could always use a bit more color on the notes I think.

Although I don't collect them, I have about 10 silver dollar currencies. Those must be expensive, just like all other pieces you have. BTW I don't see you visiting or commenting on other blogs or mine. Why so?
@silversaver888 very fair comment to make. I appreciate you feeling comfortable enough to ask me. It is not intentional at all. I use an older esteem version for all my steemit posts. Due to it being easy to post the actual articles. BUT as far as viewing "my friends" articles. I don't get any updated posts! It always just shows me random steemit members articles. It's been really frustrating to be honest. I even try and search individual usernames at times and can't get a search result. I don't want to make excuses either though. I wish I was more involved and was able to navigate the app better. I am never at a desk top. I will do my best to get more involved. Thanks for checking me!!✌🌟. Sometimes that's what's needed..
