Have you heard of STEMGeeks?
If you haven't heard about STEMGeeks yet, check out my introduction post.
In short, https://stemgeeks.net is a Steem community (aka Tribe) for people to create and curate STEM-related content.
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Math.
So how can I win 500 STEM tokens?
Write a post about your favorite gadget you own or have used in the past. Use any of the STEM tags but you must include the #stemgeekscontest tag.
I am not looking for low effort content, I am looking for quality and there are rules to this contest.
500 STEM is worth roughly 35 Steem at the current price.
Rules
- Content must be original, no plagiarism and all images that are not yours need to be properly sourced. Good images and video will drastically increase your chances to win.
- Post must be at least 500 words. This is equivalent to one single page typed. This is the minimum, larger posts of good quality will have a better chance of winning.
- You must not be on a blacklist, you can check your name here http://blacklist.usesteem.com/user/. This is a good time to short that shit out if you think you were placed on a blacklist by accident.
- You must resteem this post to be considered. The goal is to bring more awareness to the STEM community and get more quality content.
You must have 100 STEM staked.(Waived for this contest, having STEM staked will be a common requirement for future contests).- The 500 STEM will be paid out using the STEM bounties funds.
- There will be only one winner.
- You must use the #stemgeekscontest tag along with one of the STEM tags (stem, science, technology, engineering, math).
- Contest will end July 31st 11:59 AM UTC and will be judged shortly after.
Conclusion
Write a great post about your favorite gadget with at least 500 words. Quality images and video will give you a much higher chance of winning. Make sure you use the proper tags to be eligible for STEM author rewards but most importantly the contest tag #stemgeekscontest . Resteem this post so others have a fair chance of winning.

LOL! The blacklist check page has a 404.
You have to put a username in:
http://blacklist.usesteem.com/user/geekpowered{"user":"geekpowered","blacklisted":[]}Oh...duh... Can you put in a page on /user with a form input? So there is a link that you can put in and users that haven't used it before don't feel like a dumbass. XD
It's really designed to be a rest api and not something that is used interactively but it is possible to just put a username there and do a quick check.
Explaining something like
"Put your username instead of XXXXX below:
http://blacklist.usesteem.com/user/XXXXX" may be more helpful
