Her Saving Grace #4

@bennyjay brings to you the final episode of Her Saving Grace. it's been an experience writing this series and I hope we all picked one or two lessons from it. I certainly did

......the story thus far
Daniel in company of Stacey paid an unexpected visit to Mary's house to find her terribly injured and unwell in bed.
She's been taken to the hospital and released into Daniel's care after revealing her ordeals at Ken's hand....EP 1, EP 2 and EP 3

A year later

Daniel stared into Mary's lovely eyes and promised to love and protect her till death did them part. They were pronounced man and wife and he bent to kiss his bride

It had been a long journey to this point. After Mary's unfortunate incident with Ken and her subsequent release from the hospital, He'd reported the incident to the police.

Ken had been arrested and charged to court for assault and battery. After several trials with lots of evidence against him, he'd pleaded guilty and had been sentenced to two years imprisonment.

Mary had moved in with Stacey after recovering fully and within a few weeks she'd been back to her old self bubbly self.

Daniel on his own part had tried to give her time to heal before broaching the subject of a relationship with her. He'd lasted only three months before he'd seeked Stacey's advise on how best to approach Mary.

Stacey had been overjoyed and had heartily encouraged him to go right ahead and profess his love. He'd then invited Mary for a private dinner and while dining had told her how he'd admired her since she first came to work for him, how he'd gradually fallen in love with her and how he'd always held back because she'd been engaged to another man.

To his surprise, she'd smiled at him and told him that she'd really fallen for him in the last few months. She went on to say she'd always admired and respected him but hadn't allowed herself to feel more because he was her boss and she'd been in a relationship with Ken.

Daniel had been so happy he'd picked her up, kissed her and suggested they get married immediately. She'd refused and explained that she needed to take things slowly. He'd agreed after she'd refused to change her mind despite his promising never to treat her as badly as Ken had.

They'd enjoyed a very wonderful courtship and today finally she was his. He pulled her closer to him and glued together, they processed out of the church - husband and wife.
