Thank you Jay! I'm not using my cast iron as much now either that we have an induction cooktop. Unfortunately we found the cast iron damages the glass. I haven't heard about people sanding down the Lodge cookware! Great idea though. There's a company called Smithey that sells new cookware similar to what Griswold made but it's so expensive! All of my cast iron is so well seasoned at this point it's as non-stick as Teflon. Most of mine have been with me now for 20 or so years.

That's cool. I'd like to use mine a bit more too, but we have a glass cooktop as well. I used it more when we are camping and stuff and of course on the grill. There are whole subs on Reddit dedicated to cast iron. It's interesting stuff!
When we were having our kitchen redone I bought an electric hotplate with coils. Maybe I'll have to dig that out and start using my cast iron again. Really? I'll be heading over to Reddit today then to dive down that rabbit hole. Thanks!
A lot of it is the same questions, but there is some good stuff in there too. A lot of times it's people buying a piece at a estate sale or flea market and they want help identifying it.
