My Opinion about the Bees !!

in #story8 years ago (edited)

I really didn’t like the bees much in my childhood.

That’s all because when I was six years old one bee bite me in my finger on the hand so strong! Moreover, I often had sore throat disease in my childhood. It’s very unpleasantly when your throat is as a piece of bare flesh. Thus, my parents and my grandmother always force me to drink the hot milk with honey. I hated this drink, I didn’t like the taste. In the conclusion of my childhood stories, I should tell that I also didn’t like flowers at all. Everybody knows that bees pollinate flowers is that right?

I didn’t like them because I had a cat. Every time when my dad made a gift for my mom, - a bouquet of flowers, - the problem that my cat mustn’t eat the bouquets of different flowers started to be my problem. My cat liked to chew all the flowers so it was difficult to look for him.

Growing up

I changed my opinion about bees after some time. Yes, I still don’t like the taste of honey but I understand that «cocktails» from hot milk and honey really help you to get well. Moreover, honey is helpful not just only for our throat. It plays its role in medicine in different areas.
However, I like one type of honey. When I went to Anapa one time, my mom and I decided to go to the excursion to apiary in the mountains. It was just amazing sight, it was stunner! Many beehives near each other and bees which are flying quietly near their homes in the mountains, making beautiful fresh honey and pollinating different kinds of mountains’ flowers. I tried the honey from honeycomb that day and I really liked it!

Stings

I was wrong about the bees’ stings too in my childhood. Bees are different from bumblebees or wasps. They are able to sting just one time in their life. Moreover, they die after this bite. Thus, they sting just in the critical situation when they must protect themselves of their beehive. When I was on that mountain’s apiary, the main beekeeper told me that. If you won’t touch the bee, the bee won’t touch you.
In conclusion, I want to say that now I really appreciate everything what bees are doing for us and for nature. They play a really great role in this world. In my view the mosquitos, for example, don’t play such an important role. Bees make honey, pollinate different beautiful flowers and don’t sting without any case. In my opinion, bees are very useful and enjoyable insects. Moreover, they can make this pleasant sound that we call the buzz.

That's all. Thank you!

I missed my little bees=)

I don't love the bees but like the honey!

Ok, thank you for your opinion

Hi and thanks for writing your article! You know, bees are in danger right now. A Canadian team of scientists have concluded over a 25 year study in 2017 that nicotinoids are causing reproduction issues. Also it was previously thought that insecticides which contains the nicotinoids, last a month. No, the toxicity to bees exists the entire duration of the growing season, making all insects exposed to the Nicotinoids in particular bees, seeing a minimum of a 25% reduction in next year's bee reproduction. That means the bees colonies are depleting. I'll make a post about this, but certainly we all should love bees. Without the bee, there is no food. Nicotinoids are nicotine based. We may have to ban them. I'll post a list of chemicals to avoid when making garden purchases. Thanks again for loving bees!

Nice words!!
Im a little BEE obsessed also :-)
