When I was 12 years old I had one interesting and peculiar friend. It was a 16th years old girl who had a real dream: she wanted to be a famous, very popular guitarist. She wasn’t from that people who just lay on the coach and just dreaming. She was doing a lot for her aspiration. She had two different guitars one of which was her favorite guitar, a lot of different mediators, a 10 watt amp and so on. She was playing the guitar about two years that moment. She was able to play different hard songs like Slipknot or Metallica but she also loved Russian rock.
I often saw her near the subway stations or in the parks with the guitar in her hands. Moreover, she was singing so well and so inimitably! She was able to sing by different voices. Every song was like her song. By the way, she was writing her own songs too. She often was playing them at informal gatherings in the parks in confusion with other different popular songs.
The fate of this incredible girl
Everyone who I knew really liked her songs. They told her that she had has to find her own musical band. She wasn’t sure about that but she wanted be famous and popular. After some time she decided that it’s easier to become famous in a band playing at the huge different parties than alone playing at the informal gatherings at the street.
She was a man of her world. More precisely, she was a man of her decisions. She had a great group from four talented people just after two weeks! Moreover, two weeks later they started to play on different parties. They became more and more famous and popular.
However, as I told above, she was really incredible and very strange girl. She decided that it’s not her atmosphere, not her people and not her life at all. We were asking a lot why she decided to stop with her great career as a guitarist but she didn’t like to speak about it a lot. I guess that there was something else about what we still haven’t known. Of course, it’s just my guess. Probably, it was just because it’s really wasn’t her life.
Nowadays
I haven’t met with this girl for a very long time. We were really good friends but then I went to university in another city. As I know, she is adult enough for informal gatherings so she often plays just for unfamiliar people in the park, in the flats of her friends, in her own flat for her small family and on the different small, atmospheric and quite parties alone, without any band. She became popular to a certain degree but just in her circles. She understood that she didn’t want more one moment. Moreover, I heard that she has decided to learn to play on drums!
