HOW TO STAY PRODUCTIVE INSIDE and OUT

balance.jpg

Real productivity is one’s ability to balance between the inner and the outer state. We have our own meaning of what productivity is. In my case, I often tend to gauge my being productive on the outcome of my activities. It’s something I am trained to do with the society I live in.

Generally, our effectiveness is measured by looking at our achieved output against our goals. These can include achieving an ideal weight, increased projects, desired income, number of blog followers, meaningful relationships, mastery of certain skills, etc.

There are times, however, when certain things in life do not seem to be working well for us; no matter how much hard work we do, no matter how hard we try, it seems things are not done quite right. Women like me are emotional beings; we feel a lot; and sometimes, we cannot even describe clearly what emotions we are plagued with. That's when the wonder woman power wanes....

We become out of balance when we can no longer see ourselves having fun with the activities we do, and our personal growth seems to have become stagnant. These indicate that we are no longer in sync with the natural flow. We become stuck to the doing and become mindless from appreciating the unfolding blessing of our working. We begin to operate with a drained or a draining battery.

WHEN POWER TAPERS OFF

Thus, we cannot function well in the present moment like the clock that moves yet incorrectly attuned to the time of the day. We feel jammed and overwhelmed; we grumble and cannot focus on the task at hand. There is so much overthinking and worrying while forgetting to be contented and to be calm and not living fully in the present moment. We just want to accomplish tasks and be done with them, so we can jump from one undertaking to another and another and another.

We become like an automobile with a magnificent-looking body yet with a leaky radiator. Before it overheats and sets us up and others in danger, let's get it fixed and get that POWER back!

In the case again of my clock on my previous post, i replaced it with a new battery and is now functionally operational.

Great post @lemonchum . I used to be a productivity nut, and I was EXTREMELY productive in my work, but my family life suffered unfortunately.

As of late, my productivity with work is pretty awful, I no longer track time as accurately, keep to-do lists, etc. But have a much more fulfilling family life.

I wish i could more easily find a balance and be productive in all aspects of my life, will keep following your posts to see if you can help me with some great tips to become more efficient in life.

I really appreciate your reply @sasha.shade; the fact that you have such introspection, it just tells me that you are capable to create balance in your life.

There's not one -solution- for- all kind of prescription, but some tips can definitely lead one toward getting the yin and yang in harmony. It took me a while to realize how to balance things in my life- it is not easy and sometimes painful, too. And I cannot tell that I am already a master of this.

But it is an ongoing learning and relearning, and I am patient with myself going through this process :).

I will share in my future posts the practical things that I do that help me, and I hope you will find them helpful for you. All the best!

"life is a voyage in time" - nice clock

@descterity, that quote says a lot about what we do with our time :)

Hi @descterity thanks for introducing me to steemit. This is my first comment :)

@jeffree! looking forward to your posts :)

Lovely post. :)
Time is the most important commodity and health is wealth.

Thanks for dropping by @zararina!

Thanks for a great post @lemonchum. I get to be productive in the night ..am a night owl so to speak. I'm not fond of timelimits because it can add stress to my daily routine. although we need to see time to catch on something important. Sometimes, we need to power up our brain, replenish the energy our body needs to be able to become a wonder woman again...as great multitaskers we ought to be.

appreciate your response @mers :)

Great piece on productivity this is indeed... Yea there are moments when our energy drive is at an all time low, and its hard to be motivated to do those activities with the energy and drive we normally apply to them....
I think taking time out to relax the mind and engaging in other productive maybe but mainly interesting tasks and activities helps to juggle up the mind, and by the time you return to those tasks you were dragging yourself on, you will see the energy drive to do them returns back...
Thank you for your post. Its educative. Well done!

please let me share this gift here

@abasinkanga, yes, you are right there! taking breaks to free the mind is one vital step i do to create balance. thanks for taking time to react. Best regards!

Thanks @lemonchun for this very insightful post! I think we sometimes find ourseves trying to be productive in too many areas and end up getting burnt out so fast. For me, I've learned to pace myself and to prioritize tasks/goals. And yes taking that much needed breaks in between definitely help increase productivity :)
