Chapter I
The meeting.
It was one day in August, this girl had no plans and an unexpected journey crossed her path. Those trips that don't cheer you up but you have to go just because, well, a little worse. She then began to accommodate everything, suitcases and disposition to live what destiny had prepared for her, she had no other choice.
The day came and as the bus moved on, he kept thinking about the tiresome events he would have to participate in, the people he would have to share the forced smiles with, the forced smiles he would have to offer. She preferred to be at home in front of her computer screen eating candy and watching shows.
- What a nuisance! He grumbled within himself, accompanying his complaint with a sigh.
When she arrived at her destination she was surprised by the beauty of the place that received her.
-At least something good! He thought.
It was a spacious place, with much of the land filled with different types of flowers, trees, shrubs. I could easily hear the birds singing, it wasn't very difficult to see them flying either. The house where I would stay those days was large, three stories high. The architecture was ancient and elegant, with ornaments everywhere inside. The floor was glowing, the pictures on the walls looked like they were talking to you. Beautiful house, just beautiful.
He disassembled his luggage and headed for the space that would be his favorite hiding place for a week, his room. There was a large, comfortable bed, the windows overlooking a beautiful, wooded, green view. It wasn't such a bad start to the adventure. He moved quickly to the shower, he had to make sure there was hot water, he doubted so much about his luck that he would not have found it strange that the water was cold as the weather there.
As soon as she noticed hot water coming out of the shower she took a bath and got ready to leave, and her hosts were waiting for her.
The reception was warm and lively, many people known and others not so much, what she never imagined was that inside the crowd was the man who would change the whole concept of what she understood by love. A man of short stature and not at all athletic physique, black straight hair and brown eyes, the opposite of what she had within her preferences. Committed, 11 years older, simple and shy.
She's a basic woman and a little pretentious. Arrogant with someone he doesn't like, the impression he gives at first is that he's not a treatable person (but he's not, he's someone worth knowing well before he judges). Rebellious and very outgoing after she gets confident. Reluctant to be sentimental but the most sensitive person you'll ever meet. Almost twenty years old, pending everything but emotional commitments. Independent.
They were the opposite, but they were just the two of them. They discovered it a few years later.
- Nice to meet you.. He said.
- Hi, you too.. She said.
Only those words were enough even though they did not know it, only those words were enough for each one to settle in the heart of each one. Just those words.
