RE: Pandemic Diaries (Entry Three)

in #story6 years ago

Hi, @ericvancewalton'cause it's good to read you over here and know you're okay. In my country they have also extended the quarantine, the detail is that here people must go out to work to be able to eat because if they stay at home, they will die of hunger. I have also tried to use my time for useful things like reading a lot and writing, but I have realized that this confinement does not help my imagination much. I miss the beach, going to college, but especially, as a Latina, I miss hugging, kissing, and waving. These days a stranger passed in front of my window and I greeted him from afar with a smile. The man, without knowing me, also greeted me with great joy. I don't know, I think that this isolation is making us kinder, more aware of the importance of personal relationships. Take care of yourself. A virtual hug, friend! ;)

Hi @nancybriti! There's so much I miss but I keep trying to remind myself that it will be there after this is all over. Hopefully there will still be lots of summer left to enjoy! We're finding people are a little friendlier when we walk the dog too. I think they're starving for some kind of human connection. Stay well and safe, Nancy!
