That's it! I remember. I don't blame you for not wanting to come here, the mid-to-large sized cities are downright dangerous right now. I would have left a long time ago if I could've—probably either somewhere in the UK or The Netherlands. I first started looking into becoming an expat around 2016 but it didn't work out for various reasons. Europeans are very lucky to have such a good rail system!

I was in the eastern US and Canada a couple of years ago with no issues. We used some trains then, but nothing to match the speedy ones across Europe.

Canada is completely different, in my experience. I've traveled a lot to Montreal and through Toronto with zero issues. A lot of our cities have become lawless, especially after dark. There's no way I'd take public transit, day or night, in any major US city right now. The next time I come to Europe I plan on staying at least a month or two. It's so expensive to fly over the Atlantic these days it makes sense to stay a while and experience as much as you can during one trip. I'd like to flying into London and stay for 7-10 days and then take the rail to explore the rest of Europe.
