Paris 1924
Before becoming the "King of the Jungle", the movie hero Tarzan was a swimmer who won at the Olympics played in Paris in 1924, as he won three gold medals. By the name of Johnny Weissmueller.
When he finished his career as athlete active, Weissmueller was introduced into the world of film and starred in several Tarzan movies between 1932 and 1948. The infantile paralysis he had suffered during his childhood did not prevent him succeed or pools, or before the cameras .

The Briton Harold Abrahams was the winner of the 100 meters and the inspiring, sixty years later, in 1984, the film Chariots of Fire. The other athlete personified in the film was Eric Liddell who, because of their Protestant faith, decided not to participate in the 400 meters held on Sunday.
- Amsterdam 1928
Much of the essence focuses on Olympic flame crosses many countries before reaching the headquarters of the city competition. The sacred fire was first lit in Olympia (Greece) shortly before the 1928 Games, held in Amsterdam.
The flame was lit with the sun's rays and was transported from Greece through Yugoslavia, Austria and Germany, to Holland, where he remained in the stadium during the running of the Games. The tradition not only persists but has become a substantial element of the Olympic ritual.
The arrival of a new president to the IOC, Count Henry de Baillet-Latour involved the participation of women, for the first time in athletics. American Elizabeth Robinson was the first Olympic champion athlete.
