Many people wish to live a successful life and not a satisfying life. Nowadays success is measured in terms of monetary. Does success really bring happiness and satisfaction to a person? Most individuals pattern their lives to meet the expectations of the people, even if it stresses them out and not for their own satisfaction. Living a satisfying life attracts both happiness and success, but a successful life can only bring fame, name, money and definitely not satisfaction.

So in my last post, I distinguished between living a successful life and living a satisfied life.

After reading you should decide which one is better - a successful life or a satisfied life?

Success means striving for more. Happiness is being contented with whatever you have.

It's ok to improve on your standard of living but that shouldn't be the core of your existence, because when you make it the core of your existence you will never stop struggling to attain more heights, and trust me the higher you go the harder it becomes. When you live like that, you are missing out a lot of things that life has to offer. Focus your attention towards all that you have in hand. Instead of just being an accumulator, you can distribute what you have and watch your happiness skyrocket. “Chasing happiness can chase it away!” Only the wise will understand that.

I think it is not rational to continue accumulating when you don’t know what the future holds for you. The present is when we can live and most of us choose to ignore the present. Maybe after reading this post, you'll start thinking about what you'll do in the days ahead! I'm not wishing that something bad happens to you, but you have to choose to be grateful towards life and appreciate every little aspect of whatever you have.

Success is building wealth. Happiness is in building healthy relationships.

Money is very relevant in our everyday life, having enough of it can make life easier. Wealth can’t be your staircase to happiness, but money is never a guarantee of happiness! If you do proper research, you’ll discover that some of the most miserable people are also the richest.

Spending much time in the race for money may lead to a situation where you will stand alone, because you are trying to get ahead of everyone, in doing that you begin to keep to yourself, this attitude scares people away. Start investing in the relationships that actually matter to you. That’ll yield you better benefits of love, support and shared experiences that money can't buy. Write small “Thank You” notes to people that have impacted your life positively. Tell your peers about how brilliant their ideas are and have helped you to shape your own. Be generous when it comes to sharing your love, patience, and kindness towards others. You need nothing to actually derive happiness. It is around you, you just need to find it.

You have only one task and that is to find out what makes you happy, what you have passion for. Once you figure that out, you can start pursuing It, because it is the purpose for which you’ve been created, while doing that you’ll find a kind of contentment and satisfaction that you never imagined was possible. In that same attitude. opportunities
will come knocking at your doors.

As quoted by Albert Schweitzer;

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.
