I am a Prepper. I started before Y2K. Over the years I have prepped for the inevitable. I have been through windstorms and ice storms which took my power out for up to a week at a time in the middle of the winter. I learned a lot about my preparations and lack of preparations. I am going to share some of the preparations I have made to protect myself and my family.
Over the years, a few of my friends and family thought my preps were wacko survivalist thinking. Each time they lost their power from ice storms and wind storms they suffered through it. The were caught unprepared with food and heat and generators. In Venezuela they have suffered an economic meltdown. There are many people doing without food and medicine.
One of my preparations included survival information. I began downloading information from the internet. I wanted to be certain if I became financially incapable or the internet was inaccessible I would have information on medical emergencies, weapons, plants growing in the wild and any other survival necessities. I used programs which would allow
entire websites and save it to my hard drive. Programs such as httrack and Firefox Downthemall have allowed me to copy information easily.

What kind of information have I copied? CD3WD Alex Weir and Poleshift Survival have many gigabytes of information on survival in third world living conditions.

Information in a collapsed economy may not be available and it is key to survival. Start downloading it now while you can!
