@htooms first of all i will say thanks to you for organising such an amazing contest. This is the first time am seeing such this sound cool but people dont know the motive while your organising this kind of contest it is definitely to get people engage. You want to see how people can relate and how they can contribute something meaningful to this platform. And again by saying it takes some months, not hust month but 4-6 months with regualrly posting to get noticed. My first 3 months was hell now am seeing what you said is true. Permit me to end here by saying thank for rewarding every participant and thanks for the support.
You are a whale here on steemit @htooms, i believe this contest is not about the upvote, it is a way of telling every steemian the power of comment and how it can encourage curators view your profile. It took me days before i know the important of commenting.
On a normal day most people won't have make any comment, what most people do is upvote and scan through post. Thank you for encouraging comment, you are a true whale, steemit need thousands of people like you here.

Wow i am impressed with your takemyvotes contest. Can we call it a contest ??. I guess so, its an everybody wins contest where we have no losers and no winners. I for one have gained alot from this contest.
And this contest also helps minnows who are contemplating on quitting steemit that "Giving up without trying isnt the way, We have lots of good people with the heart of a whale present on steemit
Lots of incoming steemians have given up the thoughts of joining steemit after seeing other minnows earning less, but if everyone had a heart like yours, The steemit community qould have lots of creative and intelligent people joing up.

I appreciate that. I am glad you took a look 9 days back and saw the money that frontrunning can make you. It takes at least 4 to 6 months of regular posting to get noticed, obtain a following, then the sky is the limit. Steemit has allowed me to make over six figures (but I did start as an investor).

Not so much. It's mostly for curation rewards. If you pay booster for a vote, that would slowly bring up your reputation (Painfully slow). Booster can be a bit expensive too.

@htooms, I like this type of contest, at least every one of the participants wins something. I noticed most times that comments are lacking on most blogs as people are just content to vote and be voted for. That makes it weird as I believe this is a social media. What good is a social media if the participants do not socialize? I am always happy to see posts where people are encouraged to share their thoughts about what they just read or just about anything. I have been in steemit 109 days and it has been 109 days of exciting insights and learning on a variety of subjects. I have been on other social media for years without the knowledge I have acquired in barely 4 months here. Thanks a lot.
I have been here since the beginning and what I love is the clean ad-free page! I usually answer comments as time permits. I will also be voting on all of these equally so that I don't influence the comment winner results.
I have stayed here long enough that I have forgotten what the normal web page looks like with all the ads :) But for newbies, it is a novel experience to see clean pages free from ads.
Since I retired at 49, I pretty much only see steemit or busy - I use protommail.com and that is pretty clean as well.
It's like a city without garbage on the streets!
I use the Brave browser, removes ads from other web pages as well. I liked the browser.

Yes, I usually spend 60 to 100 on each of these posts. Sometimes there is extra others there is not. It doesn't matter to me either way.. I have made back 40 times my investment here and left half of it in SP across many accounts. I am very happy to do what I can to grow the platform.

I think one key area for growth is for the SP rich to delegate to the platform hungry, these guys can 'do your curation for you'.

I was the first to delegate - before they forked it into the system. That was fun.
The thing is - I don't like giving my keys to just anyone or everyone. But I like giving away money - it always bounces right back at me from another direction.

It is really Great to see @htooms again with some relief for minnows. I loved your previous #takemyvote contests, although never had opportunity to use one, but it was amazing. It seems this one is even one step ahead of that..Everyone is winning here and what more than that. Your blog can get spotted by any whale and if you are lucky enough, you would be getting some regular votes as well. Thanks for conducting such contests. You truely are a saviour. "Steemit" principally based on Building yourself and helping Others to grow is surely met with such generous contests. Thanks again from all the minnow community!!!
Whales would get a bigger payout for the bigger the vote. And, there would better the curation rewards for minnows who voted just before those whales. One guy posted that he usually gets 0.015 but gets .090 on my contest posts.

No, I invested my way into whalehood around the time when the whales started flagging newcomers and successful steemians alike. I made a massive investment that brought me up into the top 70 whales listed on steemwhales.com . Then I did some flagging of my own and was stomped down to a negative reputation for making people happy, for giving minnows a taste of success, for spreading cheer.
They could not take my investment though and - oops - it grew from .04 cents to $2.50 or so.
The only thing they could do was flag me and a flag can only take the author rewards on one post at a time. And I could do the same thing to them. They made my posts worth $0 and I made their posts worth $0
Then he got tired of that and stopped flagging me. I never flag unless flagged.
So you made some of the Whales mad and they started flagging you or others started flagging you?
You are cool! I don't know why people would flag you just for flagging others......

It seems some of your bids are overvalue, just for example : you bid twice on @booster ($ 100 and $ 50), but the total upvote value was only $ 46 (it's less than one third of your bid). So, based on that you received 75 % which is $ 34 and we as curators will receive $ 12. With more than 400 upvotes here, your $ 150 bids on @booster worth only a few penny for each curator (maybe even less).
So, better check the bot until last minute before you bid ! Hope it helps.

You should check. The people who voted on me totaled 113 minnows and they gave me $25 dollars in total votes. The $100 I spent brought in 310 votes on top of theirs and (all participants of a bot called frontrunner) and the total added value to the post was $108.00.
So each minnow who came here to vote of their free will gained significantly. I came up even and continue gaining friends and followers.
