Today I would like to share one of my food experience. This time to eat something sweet...
The restaurant named Colette & Lola. It was located on 3A floor West Mall Grand Indonesia, Central Jakarta.
The interior decoration was as sweet as the cake sold here. It was cute with pastel colors.
The dining area was large, neat and clean.
Here was the showing case.They showed off the cakes here.
My eyes caught by a cake with pink color and had rose on the top. Could you guess which one?
Yeap, you are right. Here i bought, the lychee rose cake.
The waiter delivered the cake quickly to our table.
The cake had not too sweet flavor, with the lychee fruit between the cake's layer. It really tasted good but the cake texture was not too soft for me, i would love if they made it softer. The cake was too big for me to eat alone, i shared it with mom.
For a piece of this cake, we paid 38,500 idr plus service charge & tax = 41.388 idr or around 2,9 usd.
Overall, I recommend this cake cause usually the cake sold here are all sweet but this one they didn't make it too sweet and also tasted fresh with the lychee between the layers.

Hmmm, I am wondering if this store has a Filipino root. We have Colettes stores here, but they mainly have pies. "Lola" in our language means "grandmother."
Glad that the cake is not too sweet. I also love cakes that are not so sweet but moist! 😊
