"Once upon a time", there is a small Vietnamese restaurant in the small city in New South Wales called "Ăn chút chút" (which means eat a little bit). Personally, I believe this is a good plae to enjoy well-cooked Vietnamese dish and experience the warm & cosy dinner with friends .

Address

87a Crown St, Wollongong NSW 2500
This restaurant is hiding behind a big cafe in Crown St. If you go from the Keira St side, you need to walk approximately 3 minutes.
This will open from 10am- 10pm. However, better to call the owner before you come. Note: Unil the third time I went there, luckily, they was opening.
Tel: Ms Yen- 0434 064 709

Decoration

Menu

Unfortunately, the menu is changed everyday so they do not have a fixed menu. The lovely boss (also the chef) will tell you what they have on the day. Most of the dished are invented by the chef (Ms Yen)

Exterior

I and my friends arrived at about 4 pm and we left at 7pm ~~~ As there was only chef, it did take lot of time. But I had lot of time, so it was fine.

Interior

It was nearly Mid-Autumn Festival so lot of decorative multi-coloured lanterns are hanged. We had a long discussion with the boss.
She said that she bought around 100 lanterns from Vietnam. A number of them were broken.
All of the decorations were bought from Vietnam, even dishes and cups. It was a great effort!!!
The restaurent made me feel as I was in a small food shop in Vietnam's suburn.

Food

I can guarantee is that you will not find the similar dish elsewherewhere.

Entreé: Steam Pork Rolls with special veggies and sauce

Combination pancake

Sour & spicy Noodle soup This quite simile to "Canh Chua" (Vietnam) and "TomYum" (Thailand). It has seafood, salmon and lot of veggiesveggies.

Stewed Mussel with sesame and rice noodle

This was the bonus!!! Red bean cooks with coconut milk and vanilla ice-cream- * Chè đậu đỏ*
Drink: Hot green tea- yummy and healthy ~~~

Service & Price

The boss (Ms Yen) is extremely nice and has good sense of humor. Her daugter is the waitress; she was just finish Grade 11. We understood that she had to be very sad and missed her friends.
Ms Yen married an Australian guy. After we arrived one hour, her husband came. Then he became the waiter. We could smell love in the air. I loved the way he was looking at his wife. It was so romantic!!!!
Based on my memory, it was around 30$ each. It was a reasonableble price for a fresh dinner course. She also offer 10% discount. It was amazinggggg ~

Overal score

7.5 /10
The foods were good. They were fresh and well-cooked but they were not excellent!
I recommend this restaurant for who enjoys Vietnamese culture and looks for warm & cozy place for their dinner!!!!
