hi all, I hope all is well here in Steemit!
Today I would like to do something different using the Most Dangerous Writing App
If I can actually finish writing without failing to produce within 5 minutes ranting I will post this on Steemit.
Please be warned that snowflakes are advised not to read this post because I am not the usual happy and positive @littlenewthings today. If you choose to reply me with hate speech I can only say I am sorry but I will not reply you.
I just came across this "Transabled" Youtube video share by someone and I was like ... speechless, and pissed perhaps.
It is totally acceptable to hurt your own body and then declare yourself disabled because you never felt right being normal?
I saw a woman in the clip blinded her eyes so that she can be liberated and positive.
Someone else actually amputated his legs in purpose and be on a talk show.
Another amputated his arm so that he can be called "one arm so-and-so"
And what is this whole purpose?
So that you will feel happy?
There are plenty of things you can do to feel happy or to be empathetic to those who are less privileged.
I actually agree too from the presenter that this is more or less a disrespect to someone who does not want to be disabled, but due to sickness or accident, they are in such calamity, but yet they bounce back and work hard to be part of a contributing society.
Look at Nick Vujicic, he has no arms and no legs, not by choice, but through that circumstances he became a positive inspiration of many.
I really hope for those who wants to be "transabled", you have no idea what you have just done. Your body is beautiful and uniquely created and yet you chose to destroy it so that you can be happy?
In most cases, insurance will not support your claim.
Period.

Done with my rant. I look forward not have these moments again. It feels sucks.

TRANSABLED: DISABLED BY CHOICE
(A YouTuber's reaction)

People are free to do what they want, but this is crazy... I wonder if they realize just how horrible this decision is. Sure, short term you might get some fame, but is it worth living the rest of your life in that way? I'm guessing that many who choose this path regret the decision...
Or.... @eonwarped , their deranged mind actually accept that fact and be totally happy about it. If you watch the youtube presenter from the post shared by another steemian here, you actually see the blind woman who literally damaged her eyes is actually happy about it.
I mean... I guessed that might happen to because they have no other choice, but there's got to be some point of "what have I done" that they don't share.
The whole, "don't appreciate what you really have until it's gone" kind of thing.
I'm a bit scared to open the video though...
Oh the clip is actually made by a YouTuber responding to the "talk shows" and "documentaries", so you will only have a few moments of those deranged individuals. @eonwarped
hahaha... If i were to come across videos like that. instead of getting mad, i'd strip the video and the messenger off their power and declare instead that I've traveled to "that part" of the internet.
Dismissal is sometimes more powerful than outrage.
These people don't deserve the attention you gave them. Self-mutilation is stupid to the brink of psychologically problematic. And i'll treat them that way.
That is very true @awesomianist, but the video I was referring to was from a YouTuber's response to those kind of people, so in some way, it is not directly watching these deranged documentary; though it has served as an awareness that such stupidity exist. haha.
Ahh, in that case I will understand the anger. But I wonder what brought the youtubers attention to that issue in the first place. Anyways, "Transabled" sounds exactly like something a shielded Tumblr user with warped worldview would come up with. Real life would bite them soon and no one would be there to help them.
Hm... That... I am not certain @awesomianist . The MSM loves them.
