Baking hacks - Paratha!

When you think of puff pastries, you automatically think of the hard work that comes with it. Especially the kneading, and trying your best not to overknead it. You're always worried if it's fluffy enough or is it too dry. 😰😰

With this Paratha, all worries are thrown out of the window! Hooray!

Now let me be clear by saying that the Paratha definitely doesn't replace good puff pastry. However, when you're craving for some crunchy yet fluffy goodies then this is the ultimate hack.

There is 5 pieces of Paratha in a packet (we like this one but there is a lot more varieties of brands and flavour out there). Freeze it till you're gonna use it cos or else it will be soft and will stick to the plastic covering.

  • Beautiful golden crunchy yet soft sausage rolls.

Our sausage cheese rolls were easy easy to make. And type of sausages really matter. I find that Ayamas cocktail sausages were the best in flavour & texture. Instructions & ingredients below. As for quantity, it's totally up to you!

Ingredients :
Cocktail sausages
Paratha
Cheese slice / mozzarella
Egg wash (yolk only)

  1. Preheat oven 100°C for 10mins, then up to 180°C.
  2. Boil sausages in water for about 10mins. Drain and let it cool while you prep the Paratha.
  3. Take 1 paratha out, cut into 4.
    Take 1 cheese slice, cut into 4.
    Take 1 sausage, score slightly to make sure it will cook evenly.
  4. Assembly time! On 1 slice of Paratha, put cheese and sausage. We wrapped it freestyle (I made pampers! Haha) Egg wash then bake for around 12mins (depends on oven).
    **for cheese freaks like me, just put whatever cheese you like and wait impatiently for it to bake...grrrrr
    **even tomato, cheese & dash of pepper was awesome!
  5. Eat when hot. Feel happy. Content!

Notes : From freezer to tummy in 30 mins!

📌 Varieties :

We also made dessert -
👉Baked Cinnamon sugar swirlies : smells like Xmas all over again...Just spread butter on the Paratha, then sprinkle cinnamon & brown sugar. Roll, cut and bake.

📌 Our niece loves pizzas from the normal pizza chain so it's always tapau (takeaway) but now she only request this Paraza™ - Paratha pizza😂😂 Spread tomato sauce on Paratha, add slices of sausage, cheese and Voila!

Hahaha @papanog yes even when we bake it makes us drool too! Unfortunately you cannot find this anywhere but like this la, if there is a chance I can make it to the next gathering I will bring some and share with the whole team. Good idea kan 😍😍
