Biden was seated in row 14 at Queen Elizabeth's funeral

in #teamuk2 years ago

There were 2000 guests at the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, so the Palace arranged to have them bussed to Westminster Abbey in groups to avoid delays. Even so, it took about three hours to seat everyone before the service began at 11 a.m.

The American President refused to be bussed, so the Palace made an exception for him - which prompted grumbles from other heads of state.

The armoured car known as "The Beast" was actually flown over from the United States and the American President made a grand entrance at the Abbey with a full motorcade.

But once he got there he was forced to wait as Canadian, Australian and Commonwealth dignitaries were seated before him.

In the end he was seated in row 14 next to the Swiss president and behind the Polish delegation.

The guys on the bus got better seats. Somewhere, our dear old Queen was looking down and chuckling.
