This time capsule is intended as a testimony for future generations and contains three digital discs with thousands of files
Israeli scientists, who are preparing for the launch of their country's first space vehicle to the moon, where they unveiled a time capsule that will travel in it.
This time capsule (or temporary), intended to be a testimony for future generations and contains three digital discs with thousands of files. The same was ceremoniously placed in the spacecraft by the scientists, dressed in white suits, in the place where the project is developed.
These discs contain drawings of children, images of Israeli symbols, such as the blue and white flag, country songs and memories of a Holocaust survivor. These will remain on the Moon.
The Israeli organization SpaceIL expects to launch the spacecraft, weighing about 585 kilograms, in February 2019, although it has not yet set a precise date.
It will be sent to space by a Falcon 9 rocket from the SpaceX company of the American businessman Elon Musk.
The launch will be made from Cape Canaveral, in the southeastern United States, and it is estimated that the ship will take a month and a half to reach the Moon.
The project has a budget of 95 million dollars and has been financed by private patrons.
SpaceIL has also partnered with Israel Aerospace Industries, one of the largest defense companies in the country.
The device that will rest on the Moon will gather information to try to better understand its process of formation of the Moon. These data will be shared with the American NASA.
