I'm going to make a new series of articles speeking about incoming technologies, news for tomorrow and new devices in IoT.

So, here is the first "Comming soon" article!
Today, with the development of connected devices, everyone knows that security and privacy will represent a major take for tomorrow. But, these informations represent a real market and firms have lot of ideas to have more and more informations about consumers. I don't say if it's good or bad but it will be a reality.
To this extent I want to present Roomba by iRobots:

It's just a robot vacuum cleaner you will tell to me... But this devise can make a cartography of your home!
Although we can think that the information collected by Roomba is insignificant, there is a lot to extract maps which it updates constantly. The robot knows the number of floors of your house, the shape of your floor, zones requiring of the maintenance, the frequency you in which need to do the cleaning, etc. According to Reuters, these data are the future of the marketing strategy of iRobot.
" There is a whole ecosystem of services which the intelligent house can offer when you have a rich mapping, and when the user agreed to share his data " declared Colin Mr. Angle, CEO of iRobot.
Next March, the robot can connect with personal assistants like Echo by Amazon.
And this is interesting because, for example, if Amazon wants to improve Echo, information of mapping could be useful. It would allow to improve the audio performances by taking advantage of the acoustics of the room.
It to say that intelligent houses are not more than a utopia, we should see arriving soon objects which will make really intelligent houses.
