Machine learning is all around us today. When we try to type a query into a search engine, it figures out which sources to show us. When we watch videos on Youtube, it shows videos that are related to the one we had watched previously(our videos history). This can also be seen in our e-mail. When we tried to view our recent e-mails, we don's see most of the spam because machine learning built in the system has already filtered it out. Pandora, a personalized radio that plays music that we love is another type of machine learning application. It keep track our music history and predict a new music that would love.
In the past, we used to instruct the computer to do a certain task like from adding two numbers to flying an airplane. This has to be done in detail to make sure that we obtain the desired result. Machine learning algorithms are different because they figure it out on their own. The can be called as learners. With more data assessed by them, the better it gets. In other words, these computers can program itself to run any task and get the job done.

As we drive to work, Intrix, a traffic prediction system will help us to shorten our rush-hour commute re-routing our way to the office. This is good as it helps reduce our stress. At work, machine learning helps us combat information overload. We can use data cube to summarize masses of data, look at it at every angle and drill down to the most important bits. During our work, we need to check out a potential supplier's website, but its in foreign language. No Problem. Google translate is there to help us translate it. How awesome is that? No need to stress, we live in a great time. Be grateful. stress.jpg

This world is changing and machine learning is remaking science, technology, business and politics.
