very exciting developments and that we can expect to be underway to Mars
in 5 years.

2018 : Heavy Lifter - The Falcon Heavy
The Falcon Heavy derived from the Falcon 9 but has two additional strap-on
boosters to carry more load. The Falcon Heavy was designed to eventually
carry astronauts to mars but for now its being tested for deep space travel.
The Falcon Heavy successfully launched one of Tesla's roadsters into space
at 10 February
2018: Dragon Crew Spacecraft
The Dragon is a free flying spacecraft that can deliver cargo and crew.
It already carried cargo to the international space station in 2012 and its
being refined to carry crew in collaboration with Nasa. We might see
Dragon taking astronauts into space by May and later the year around
the moon for orbiting.

2023: Flights to Mars are Underway
Manned flights to Mars can be expected as soon as 2023 without any delays
but for a more realistic timescale for landing on Mars 2025 can be expected.
