The Northern life
Never has a feel
Stepped without a single spirit,
A far-sight,change seen,
Without a painful sight
The sum biting harshly.
On my fair skin,
The land bare and vast like the Pacific,
The hand kneel of my hoe could hardly till,
I could resort to slate teaching
But that is no skill in me
I could become a madakis"
But i am able not disable
I am left enduring and persevering.
Applying strength and praying
Here, so little one should do with skill
But a plenty accrue just sitting, in market place and begging,
Just like madakis
Hard times stair straight at me
Treating me to flee.
If back to East
Then harder times in Nneka-form will smite me
For my sight still falls on her tidings.
Shall behold her eluding beauty,
And reminisce reminiscing
How i couldn't and I cannot reach.
I sit every single ray fighting,
Fighting to forget my heart clearing,
Wondering if her influence was conic
But i wane it painfully aside in tilling.
