Most people begin to object when one talks of this world as being an illusion.
But, perhaps this idea can be described better - What if life is like a movie?
Is the movie real? – Yes.
Is it relative truth? – Yes.
Is the movie absolute Truth? – No.
The movie is real in the sense that we derive experience from it, but its story is not real, and therefore is illusion.
If the world we seem to be living in is an illusion, how do we navigate in it? The main challenge seem to be an IDENTITY recognition issue. Who are we? If one can accept that our thoughts create our experience of reality, then a question arises as to who/what is thinking the thought? Where does the thought come from?
Most seem to think of the cause of thought, as being the human mind/brain, but what if the cause of thought is from Source (that energy which gives existence and life to all that is)? What if there is a complex phenomenon within Source that imagined a thought of something outside itself - a thought of separation?
All that is part of Oneness would now seemingly appear to be separate due to the power of experience that thought creates. A single thought of separation would further break into many additional separate thoughts (e.g., humans, animals, insects etc.) as each thing must be able to be divided into more parts - Each with its own sub-thoughts creating ever more separate thoughts/things/beliefs/experiences.
A crazy mad idea that somehow Oneness could be disconnected in some way. Perhaps this would create an experience similar to what most of us seem to be experiencing on earth today. Could this thought of separation create an experience that we seem to be having - that is illusion?
