Something a little bit different today.
If you thought Milton Friedman's prediction of a digital 'E-Cash' in 1999 was impressive, then I have a gift for you today.
There's an article dating back to 1921 where Henry Ford predicted the rise of an 'Energycurrency' with a striking resemblance to Bitcoin.

Remarkable indeed. This is how the minds of visionaries work: they deal in fundamental principles from which their ideas are derived from. What else is this idea of "energy currency" but Proof-of-Work as energy is capacity for work by definition.
Henry Ford was a great visionary of the twentieth century. He associated the currency with the War and therefore with the banking system. His key question was: how to break or displace the gold system that is the basis of the currency in the world? And then he thought: if he eliminated that control then the wars would end. Hence, the "energy currency" or the decentralization of currency or what we know today as bitcoin could be the visualization of Henry Ford to answer that question. The creator of the Welfare State not only thought about increasing the consumer society but that it did not contribute tributes to the wars. Greetings, @louisthomas for doing this flashback to H. Ford.
Buying bitcoin is a bet against your government.
I really find this interesting
Always thought he was a smart guy.

Sounds like technocracy. I wonder was Ford speaking with people about this?
