Stop wasting your time

in #time6 years ago

Time is precious, and we have to use it right. But people are extremely “talented” at wasting their short time, especially when it comes to something they don’t want to do.

But it is said that we only have one life, so shouldn’t every second of it be valued? Everything that consumes our time should be worth it.

The truth is, time isn’t our best friend. It either goes to fast, or too slow, and at the end it kills us. So what should we do to make it valuable?

Firstly, you need to stop wasting time on unimportant stuff. We all do this, and a great example is when we waste our time being angry about not being able to achieve one target our of 10.

But is one target so important, when you successfully achieved 9 others? Other examples are those people who waste time doing nothing, or those who always complain.

There are so many unimportant things that kill our time. You always have to question yourself:

Is this really important? Is it helpful, do I enjoy it?

If the answer is no, just move on.

When you do something, at least get it right. Focus, give all you have to enjoy a great result at the end, knowing that it was worth your time! If you have work to do, other than being active on Steemit, put your phone on silence and avoid going on social media platforms, otherwise it will take you hours to finish your job and, before you know it, the day will be over.

Here’s a trick, finish fast what you don’t enjoy doing. When you have to do something you don’t like, you probably tend to waste time and to find other things to do. You should always follow this rule:

Start with what you don’t like, and after you’re done, do what you enjoy.

This way, you’ll be more motivated to finish, knowing that at the end of your task you get to do what you love.

When you do something you’re really passionate about, take your time. It is not wasted time if you do what you love.

Carpe Diem!

excellent post, when humanity truly understands the value of time, the world will walk in another direction, our lives will turn in a positive way, because only at that moment will it be possible to understand that time is our ally or our enemy.

time passes slowly for the one who suffers and complains and quickly for the one who is happy and takes advantage of it.

Thanks @jwolf excellent post..

Thank you!

wise words @jwolf and they are words we often forget. I've been thinking about time a lot lately as it relates to age. The older I get it seems the faster time flies by. The worrying thing about that is that wasted times seems to triple at my age. Also, the guilt for wasting it triples as well. As long as you have something you believe in that can occupy your time you are winning. Sometimes I feel like I have no passion . Figuring what I want from life constantly evolves .

There's never enough time to do all the nothing we want..
So we need stop wasting our own time...
Thanks for educative post @jwolf

The people who don't take the time seriously ,they will suffer more to achieve their goals what they have set .thanks for reminding me too now I work more preciously .😇

I loved the whole post, especially this part Everything that consumes our time should be worth it.
I would add that in order to do the things we don't like so much, we must start as soon as possible and without hesitation, keeping a constant pace. We often take a long time with the excuse of planning or preparing too much and it is time we waste.

Start with what you don’t like, and after you’re done, do what you enjoy.
thank for sharing

This is so true. most individuals major on minor things and at the end of the day, they find out they'v wasted a whole lot of years. we have just one life to live. thanks @jwold for reminding us.

This was really inspirational........ Of a truth doing what we don't like and later what we like shows the level of maturity and wisdom.
Time is an essential factor which can never be recovered when lost, hence the need for us to judiciously use and manage our time we'll.
Thanks for this awesome piece.
TGIF..... Good morning.

In my work I never feel like spending or wasting my time. But when the work I've done has to be really fixed because of a serious mistake I've made, then I'll waste a lot of time fixing what I should have done in the past.

-Stay off the Internet.
-Keep your email inbox closed.
-Do all of your work on one device.
-Write out a schedule
-Go slower.
-Stick to the task at hand.
-Give yourself a stop time.

lol man lol!!

Time is all...Ralph Marston said "What you do today can improve all your tomorrows."

Yes @jwolf time is presious. We Should not Waste Time.

"Time and tide wait for none." And life is only one. So we should do good use of every moment of our life. Your valuable word is appropriate to do good use of our time. We should follow your suggestion to be success in our life. Thank you for your valuable post.

Your thoughts mimics my own :)

The worst thing we do to ourselves is wasting time dreaming about a better future while doing nothing to make the dream true.

Procrastination is something which we need to constantly battle against.

Carpe diem!!!

The method of silencing the phone or deactivating internet connection when am not on Steemit has helped me avoid the trap of visiting other social networks.

I like the principle of finishing what we dont like first and do what we like later.

Start with what you don’t like, and after you’re done, do what you enjoy.

@Jwolf I completely agree with you. I feel less satisfied with watching movies and sitting in front of the tv. When I watch tv I want to learn something by watching documentaries or Bloomberg news. I feel very satisfied when I learned something new. When I hear colleagues saying I wish I was home watching a movie with a blanked. I think I am happy I am not. Our brains are made to learn and to involve. Stop wasting time..

Thanks for sharing a good post bro.
Nice one bro

In this day and age, Time Management is Vital to success and sanity.

Excellent post. So true, majority enjoy spending time doing the trivial. It is more important you refuse to pummel yourself just because something in the past did not work. You cant move forward, when continually stare at the past. Dust yourself up, and try again!

When you do something, at least get it right. Focus, give all you have to enjoy a great result at the end, knowing that it was worth your time!

I agree with you here mate!

time is preciously right said if we don't respect time it will not respect us

Thanks @jwolf. Great post. Always a pleasure to read. Very thought provoking.
