Yes, you can push 800 to 1200 images out in no time which does represent a slice of the shutter duration pie. I used to care about it too much, now I just treat it like any other tool. Certainly, if you are considering resale value - playing around with time lapses is foolish! Nearly brings photography back to the epoch of film when there was a consumable to factor in... I also think sometimes video that is sped up looks quite nice in some shorter duration situations... does feel like cheating though.

When I shoot in RAW or ARW, you have one set of files, then after processing you have the JPG set and the disk space can get chewed up quickly.
