Soooo, at 37 years old, this past February I sold everything, quit my job at #Verizon, and moved to++ #Panama #CentralAmerica.++ When I moved here, I had already taken a few years of #spanish but that was ages ago in high school. In conjunction with online videos and this rad chrome browser extension called #toucan, I feel like I've really been gaining ground on my foundation of the #spanishlanguage. I didn't pay for all the extra stuff in #Toucan🤩🤩🤩 ... but the free version has been just enough to have an engaging effect on my browsing and not an annoying one. Connecting with the locals here in #sancarlos that are into #crypto as well has been a great experience. This little extension bridges the gap when I'm curious to know which words to use. I tossed a screenshot in here so you can see what it looks like. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/toucan-language-learning/lokjgaehpcnlmkebpmjiofccpklbmoci![toucan.png]
I have found that what really helps to learn another language is forgetting you already speak one. You have to take everything as it comes, in its context, without trying to find a correlation in your native language.
