Consider USVI for your next destination!

Hello Steemit Community,

It was very heartbreaking to hear about Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Irene a few months ago that hit hard in the islands in the Caribbean. In August, I had a chance to visit US Virgin Islands. US Virgin Islands have three main islands and we stayed in St. John.

We stayed in a 5-star resort called Caneel Bay with 7 beaches on site. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. The water is very clean and clear. This is the true paradise. And most importantly, it was very private and quiet. I would say it is the best resort in the Caribbean I've been to and definitely not for people who want loud and parties.

After we came back a few weeks, we heard the news from the resort that the resort properties were 95% damaged and would not be able to open the resort until end of 2019. It was sad and heartbreaking to see that mother nature can be very harsh on beautiful island like this.

During our stay, we also visited Trunk Bay. Trunk Bay is known to be the 2nd most beautiful beach in the Caribbean. It is around 10 minutes by taxi from the resort we stayed. The water was crystal clear and true blue like in the photographs. IMG_E6693.jpg

It was the best trip of the year by far, however, we hope that all the employees and local people who live on the island are safe. I hope that the resort will open sooner than later and more luxurious than before.

I love the donkey on resort property too.

If you have a chance to travel there, you should! You will have a blast.

PS. I did not edit the lighting or anything on any of the photos here.

Please share your US Virgin Islands travel experience with me if you have any.

Have a great Saturday! :)
